2010: 22nd Annual Lobster Dip
for Maine Special Olympics
New Years Day at Noon
(sharp) - On
the Beach, In front of "The Brunswick Hotel," in Old Orchard Beach.
Looking for volunteer
dippers. You will be taking a dip in the Atlantic Ocean. Dippers
are asked to raise $100 for Maine Special Olympics. Costumes
encouraged.
Chicken Dippers also
wanted, simply raise $100 and dip your feet in a warm pool.
All dippers will be treated
to a complimentary post-dip New Years Day bash at the Brunswick.
This event includes food and lobster stew, several live bands, and TV
viewing of the big game.

6: Skating
and Ice Bike Festival

Location: Westbrook Skating Rink in Biddeford
The Knights of Columbus and the Free Masons of Biddeford invite you to
the second annual CBC fundraiser at the Westbrook Skating Rink (click
here for directions) on February 6th, 6-9 PM.
The CBC has partnered with the machine and drafting trade students at
the Biddeford Center of Technology to introduce bike ice skating with
a new fleet of "Ice Bikes." We
plan to host a five-lap exhibition race at 7 PM.
Skaters will get a chance to test the ice bikes after the race.
Other
activities include open skate, pick-up hockey games, a 50/50 raffle
and a door prize! Rental skates and skate sharpening are available.
Food and other concessions will also be sold to benefit the Westbrook
Skating Rink.

The American Cancer Society invites people interested in

to join its Relay For Life
of York County. The
American Cancer Society's York County Unit will hold the fifth
annual Relay For Life event on June 13 and 14, 2008.
The
American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight community
celebration where individuals and teams camp out, barbecue,
dance, and take turns walking around a track relay-style to
raise funds to fight cancer. At nightfall, participants will
light hundreds of luminarias (candle lanterns) in a heartwarming
ceremony to honor cancer survivors, as well as friends and
family members lost to the disease. The American Cancer Society
Relay For Life represents hope that those lost to cancer will
never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be
supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

The Arts Festival is an annual cultural extravaganza occurring in June along the quaint and beautiful Main Street in Saco. A combination of visual arts, performing arts, crafts people and sculptors. Mediums include paintings in oil, acrylics, watercolors, pen and ink, prints, etchings, photography, paper casting and innovative sculptures. There are wonderful displays from members of the Southern Maine Craftsmen.
The show attracts many quality artists.

Run and 2.5 Mike Walk
Our
6 th Annual Memorial 5K Run and 2.5 Mile Walk takes place on
Saturday June 26,2010.
We
also have a free KIDS FUN RUN, which takes place on the OOBHS TRACK
FIELD for children ages 3 to 12years old.

Start/Finish line is on E.Emerson Cummings Blvd. right next to the OOB

ALL PROCEEDS benefit our Captain Christopher Scott Cash Memorial
Scholarship Program.
Graduates
from OOBHS and Thornton Academy in Saco Maine, receive these
Scholarships on Graduation day.
Our race was founded in memory of our son, Captain Christopher
Scott Cash, who was killed in Iraq during
Operation
Iraqi Freedom. He served our nation proudly for 18 years, in the
U.S. Army.

Bowl Classic All-Star Football Game Waterhouse Field - West Street,
Biddeford, Maine
Gates open on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., Kick-off at 4:00 p.m.
Kora Temple sponsors the Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Classic All-Star high school football game at
4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford. Every year eighty-eight student athletes and eighteen coaches volunteer their time and talents in support of helping to improve the lives of physically-challenged children. This game will be played for the benefit of Shriner's Hospitals for Children. To date, over
three hundred and sixty thousand dollars has been raised to help provide free orthopedic and burn injury care for Maine
children under the age of 18. Currently, the Shrine is treating nearly sixteen hundred Maine residents at its Springfield and Boston, Massachusetts facilities.
All proceeds benefit the Shriner's Hospitals for children.

Location: Gov. John Fairfield School, 75 Beach Street,
Saco.
Bring your family and friends to join in the festivities. Race day series consists of 12 closed course bicycle races for
kids, juniors, men, women, masters, and professional
cyclists.
The Saco Criterium bike races wind through one mile of Saco roads
on a technically challenging course. The races are timed plus
five laps with races for kids to skilled racers from all over New
