Chamber Breakfast Forums are held occasionally during the
year, usually in local member establishments.
These morning gatherings serve as a friendly meeting
opportunity for Chamber members to hear discussions about
timely issues. Attendees are seated with 4-8 other business
professionals, providing a relatively intimate setting in
which to network. Sponsoring a forum is a great marketing
opportunity.
To make arrangements to do presentations or speak on
specific issues concerning your business or the area, please
contact the Chamber Executive Director (Tel.: 282-1567).

The Annual Holiday Auction is held in November of each
year. This event is also a fundraiser for the Chamber. The
Auction Committee begins meeting in August.
Members are solicited to provide the Chamber with items or
gift certificates to be sold at the Auction. Some businesses
co-sponsor large items, thereby cutting their individual
costs.
The evening of the Auction consists of a buffet style meal
served to participants who plan to bid on auction items. The
Auction itself is divided into three events – a Silent
Auction, a Raffle Auction and the Live Auction.
To donate items or gift certificates, or if
you wish to attend the Auction, be sure to read your mail and
our newsletters as they will contain all the information
needed.

Annual Golf
Tournament
The Annual Golf Tournament is a great event in which to
participate. The opportunity to meet and challenge other
"golfers" in the business community is a top
priority for some. A trophy is awarded to the "Business
Sponsored Team" with the lowest score. Other awards are
presented to non-business-sponsored teams. The day of golf is
followed by a BBQ or Buffet-style meal.
Again, this is a fundraiser for the Chamber. The members
are sent a letter detailing sponsorships. These sponsorships
could be: team sponsors; hole sponsors; or businesses
providing gift packages to players (a great way to advertise
with free samples).
Volunteers are also needed to serve as "Hole In
One" spotters; to sell Mulligans prior to the start; to
keep drink coolers placed on the course filled; or to help
serve the meal that follows the golf program.
To serve on the Golf Committee, call the Chamber Office by
March at:
282-1567
All other information regarding playing the tournament or
sponsoring the event will be sent to you and reminders will be
printed in the monthly Newsletter
