Biddeford Beaches:

Several magnificent beaches along the coast at Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rocks are available for public use.  There is ample parking and bath facilities available. Beach parking passes are available for a nominal fee from the City Clerk's Office in Biddeford City Hall.  Dogs are allowed on Biddeford area beaches before 9AM and after 8PM.  For more details call Biddeford Parks and Recreation at 207-283-0841.

Biddeford Pool-A large tidal pool, also has a two-milesandy beach with lifeguards. Abundant bird watching nearby. Check out- www.sacobaytrails.org

East Point Sanctuary- One of the most renowned birding locations on the Maine coast.  Get stickers for parking at Biddeford City Hall.

Fortunes Rocks- From Biddeford Pool to south end of Fortunes Rocks, enjoy nearly 4000 yards of sandy beach.  Great surf.  Limited public beach with lifeguards.

Hills Beach:Approximately 500 yards of beach for swimming and bird watching. Very limited parking. For more information check out www.hillsbeach.com   

Saco Beaches:

Saco offers miles of beautiful, uncrowded beaches, and a picturesque harbor for fishermen and pleasure boaters at the mouth of the Saco River.  Saco Bay's shoreline consists of 7 miles of sandy beach from Camp Ellis in Saco, continuing north past Old Orchard Beach and ending at Pine Point in Scarborough.  Dogs are allowed on Saco municiple beaches at any time with leash and clean-up.  For more information check out www.sacomaine.org/departments/parksrec/active.shtml

Bayview Beach- Off Seaside Ave. (Route 9) Public Beach maintained by City of Saco.  Lifeguards in season. Restrooms and public parling.

Camp Ellis- At the southernmost end of Saco's 7 miles of sandy beach.  Walkable breakwater for beautiful sightseeing and recreational fishing.  Public parking available. Nice sandbars at low tide for family fun.  Also enjoy a publicly owned commercial fish pier, restaurants and gift shops.

Diamond Riverside Boat Ramp- Not a beach but a six-acre park along the Saco River with a public boat ramp, picnic tables, charcoal grills and a play structure for kids.

Ferry Beach State Park- Miles of white sandy beaches between the Saco River and Old Orchard Beach. Changing rooms, picnic area, nature trails and guided nature programs available.  Safe passage under Route 9 via a tunnel and walkway directly to beach. Within Ferry Beach State Park, dogs are not allowed on the beach proper, but are allowed in the park interior with leash and clean-up.  Check out www.state.me.us/cgi-bin/doc/parks 

Kinney Shores Beach- Off SeasideAve. (Route 9) Public beach maintained by the City of Saco. Lifeguards in Season. No public restrooms.
